ILA10 had a flash mob to end the conference. It looks like it would have been a lot of fun, and I hear that it was the first time tap dancers were used in a flash mob. Enjoy…

Epiphany — Innovation & Leadership #ila10
I had an awesome conversation tonight with Gail Bush (President of ILA and Rockstar). She said that the profession needs my (our) skills, innovation, activism, technology. I replied that we need leadership training. Together we realize that we need each other. We have something to learn from each other. For Innovative Leadership requires collaboration, and today I understood that on a whole new level. I am so excited about the next chapter in my life, the next chapter of libraries, and the next chapter of my beloved profession. I am so proud of Illinois librarians, and am so glad to call myself an Illinois librarian.
