I know that some of you have requested a draft syllabus of my brand new course (so new it isn’t even listed on the registration page). The course is called Design Thinking, Innovation and Creativity in the Information Environment. The very basic premise of the course is to learn and apply design thinking principles to build towards solutions for “wicked problems”.
Here is the very early and very drafty-version. Please forgive any typos as I haven’t proofed it yet. In design thinking we have a bias towards actions and of rapid prototyping, for which I am practicing both here. 7963 Design Thinking Syllabus 2014-15
What about a MOOC on Design Thinking? That could really be great for the international and borderless librarianship!
That is a great idea. The University of Cincinnati has a MOOC on design thinking for everyone (not just libraries) if you are really interested.
