OK, so I’ve had a few requests for my Advanced Reference Syllabus . I know that many of you are making class decisions over the next few days, so I wanted to get this to you. It is in very early stages, but I hope it helps you decide if the class is the right fit for you.
This class is being explored as a way to replace LIS 7400 Reference Resources in the Humanities, LIS 7410 Reference Resources in the Social Sciences, LIS 7420 Reference Resources in the Sciences, and LIS 7430 Reference Resources in Business and Economics. I see this class as valuable to future librarians who are interested in reference and instruction positions in academic libraries as well as adult reference librarians in public libraries.
